Site information
Disclaimer
Other History collects information about historical places from open sources. Please read how we present it before relying on it.
Facts, reconstructions and interpretations
Facts are statements backed by sources: names, dates, coordinates, heritage registers. Reconstructions are models or drawings of how a place may have looked. Interpretations are hypotheses and readings of the evidence. We label them separately; an interpretation is never presented as a proven fact.
Sources and licences
Object data comes from Wikidata (CC0), airport data from OurAirports (public domain), photos from Wikimedia Commons under the licence stated for each file, and the map from OpenStreetMap contributors via Protomaps. Each photo shows its author, licence and source page.
No guarantees
Open data can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information on this site. Check opening hours, access and safety with official sources before you travel.
Not instructions for excavation or construction
Nothing on this site is an instruction or permission to dig, search with metal detectors, restore or build. Archaeological excavation requires a permit from the competent state authority, and protected monuments must not be damaged.
Distances
Distances to airports are straight-line distances calculated from coordinates and are approximate. Actual travel routes are longer.
External services
GetTransfer and YouTube are external services with their own terms and privacy policies. A transfer link takes you to GetTransfer, which handles bookings and payments; we count clicks on these links without cookies or personal data.
